Painting Cars
Here’s an easy outdoor activity for the Summer !
I have struggled getting Subhaan to show an interest in painting so decided to bring his most beloved thing in the world - CARS - into play to help encourage him !! .
It was also a scorcher of a day here so to keep the kids cool, and to ensure they cleared up the paint I asked them to first paint their cars and then use soap and water to run their own car wash!
Colour Sorting
Things you need:
☀️ water in different containers 💧
☀️ Food colouring 🎨
☀️ Utensils from around the house 🥄 .
Mix up colours in water, demonstrate how to colour sort using utensils, let them have a race !
Benefits:
☀️ keeps them cool and busy
☀️ teaches them about colours, how they change when mixed, etc
☀️ improves fine motor skills when using things like tongs, dropper, syringe.
☀️ using spoons and sieves helps build hand eye coordination .
Construction Site
Do your kids forget their toys after a few plays and they’re just lying around catching dust? Sometimes all they need is a little prompt to play with their same old toys in a new imaginative way. .
This can be played indoors as well if you can contain the mess 😆
What you need:
👉🏼 A big tray/tub
👉🏼 construction toys/trucks/spades
👉🏼 random things like rocks, sand, soil, straw
